Dr. Micah Vermeer is a 2009 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He is a native of Sioux Center, Iowa and graduated from Central College in 2005. It was during his time at Central College that Micah became acquainted with Dr. Barnes and the Pella Family Dentistry team. Dr. Micah maintained contact with Pella Family Dentistry throughout his 4 years of dental school and decided that Pella Family Dentistry was the best choice to begin his career in dentistry. Dr. Micah enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but has a specific interest in endodontics, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Micah is married to Liz (Naughton) Vermeer who is a physical therapist at the Pella Regional Health Center. Micah and Liz love traveling together, especially to places and cities they have not been to before. Dr. Micah has many outdoor hobbies including golfing, cross country skiing, and ice fishing. In June of 2011 Dr. Micah and Liz welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sophia.
